Chapter 4

Work Journey The path that brought me here.

This chapter shows the main steps of my professional path, from school and freelance work to apprenticeship, full-time experience, and my new role at Mettler Toledo.

The video gives the overview, while the timeline below shows the milestones in a more visual way.

How my work journey developed

Scroll through the timeline to follow the different steps of my professional path.

01

One Year Business School

I started business school, since after highschool, I was not sure where I want to go. But I really quickly realised, this is not something I want to keep doing for the rest of my life, since I have always been more on the creative side.

02

Freelance

Since Design in many forms is my passion, I decided to gather some more experience online, not only work but customer handling related as well, as that felt quite important for me. For roughly my whole time ass apprentice, I had freelance works. Looking at the works I did back then, gives me second hand embarassment, but I suppose that what learning, and getting better means.

03

Apprenticeship

From 2017 to 2021 I did the Apprenticeship as Interactive Media Designer. For those who do not know what that is, it is basically a mix of many things: Audio Designer, Video Producer, Photographer, Web Site Creator; Graphics Designer, Art Director, Motion Graphics Designer, and so on. Everything that has to do with some form of Digital Art.

This Apprenticeship was made for me, at least that is how I feel like, since I do not like to focus on 1 thing, and do that for the rest of my worklife, but rather have more experiences.

04

Interactive Media Designer

After finishing, and passing my final exam, I was hired by my ex-company, and worked there until October 2025. I learned a lot of things, good and bad, as you do in every workplace. What I think I take most pride in, is that I brought 2D animations to the workplace and that I took over as Art Director and created different brandings for the clients.

As for the reasons I left. The first one I think many can relate, I wanmted a new challenge and learn more, not be stuck in one place, I wanted to widen my horizon. The second reason was AI, the moment I got told I need to create Brandings with AI, meaning logo design, colors, and full on communications, I felt it was time to leave.

05

Mettler Toledo

This is the newest step in my journey and the reason I am doing this presentation.
